Sangeeta Singh

Gurugram, Delhi NCR

Sangeeta Singh was born (1968) in Delhi. She was trained at Triveni Kala Sangam under the guidance of the eminent artist Rameshwar Broota. She also studied art at the National Museum and in Mizoram. She has been awarded Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India (2015-17) and Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India (2007-09). On the eve of International Women’s Day in March 2016, Kala Drishti has also awarded her for her contribution in art. Her solo shows include exhibitions at Visual Arts Gallery-New Delhi, Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, Winter sports Museum, Austria, Sublime Gallerie, Bengaluru, Gallery Art speaks India, New Delhi, Azad Bhawan Gallery, Indian Council For Cultural Relations, New Delhi. Her selected participation in group shows include 54th National Exhibition of Art by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 87th & 79th Annual All India Art Exhibition at AIFACS, New Delhi, Villa Doria, Italy, Gallerie Nvya, New Delhi, Aura Art, Mumbai, Gallery Art Land, Mumbai, Art Centrix Space, New Delhi, Ramod’oro: Naples-Italy, Muzeum Galley, Slovenia, Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow, Dhoomimal Art gallery, New Delhi. Her works formed a part of Silent Dream, Voluble Realities as part of the Gulf Art fair in Dubai. The artist lives and works in Gurugram, Delhi NCR.
