About the artist:
Sutapa Khan completed her Bachelor in Fine Arts from Visva Bharati Santiniketan 1994. She paints in a distinct and unique style that she has mastered over the years. Sutapa is influenced by the Bengal school of art evident in her brushstrokes and the way she handles colour. She has participated in a number of group and solo exhibitions held at Emami Art Kolkata, Domus , New Delhi, Krishna’s collection, New Delhi, Arushi Arts New Delhi, Dhoomimal Art Gallery, Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, Birla academy and many more. Sutapa has participated in various camps including Burdwan Palace Darjeeling1998, Protest through images by Genesis Gallery Kolkata. Her paintings are in in the collection of Jayshree Mahta, Birla Academy, Jaqueline R Landquist, Sarla Devi Birla and many others private collection in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, USA.
