One is Pablo Picasso, a revolutionary Spanish artist, and the other is Charlie Chaplin, an iconic actor, filmmaker, humourist & also a great critic of Fascism.

Born in a deprived household, Chaplin’s initial explorations into the world of drama began on the streets of London. Thereafter, he proceeded to make silent films that were widely applauded for their blend of intriguing social narrative and farce. The deeply moving narratives of his silent films touched many and soon paved the way for Chaplin to be recognised as a Hollywood icon.

“My artworks are a way to delineate my admiration for the unparalleled influence that Chaplin wielded. I have meticulously studied and tried to replicate the virtuoso’s facial expressions, postures and gestures. Using acrylic liquid colour, I have tried to create a different texture to render a sense of joy, fun and satire in the artworks. This novel idea is a result of my years of involvement in the world of painting”.
