About the artist
Abraham George is a multi-media artist who works with photography, drawing, software, and printmaking. His work looks at the historical entanglement of vision with technology to consider how image-making relates to power and knowledge production. Abraham’s work attends to the monstrous, the apocalyptic, and the sublime aspects of experience.
Abraham George lives and works in India. He completed his B.Sc. in Visual Communication from Loyola College, Chennai and a Diploma in Fine Arts from The Julius Macwan Institute, Chennai. Selected exhibitions include: ‘Supernatural’ at Gallery Maskara, Mumbai (2023); ‘animal.spirit.algorithm’ at Gallery Maskara, Mumbai (2016) and ‘The Smile on the Mask’, Focus Photography Festival (2015).
