Roshan & Rohan
Roshan and Rohan are passionate artists bound by the intricate threads of twine, seamlessly weaving their creativity into a tapestry of expression. Their collaborative journey in the world of art has led them to a shared vision – a vision that goes beyond the canvas, transcending borders and resonating with society. Roshan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh. Rohan, on the other hand, completed his BFA and MFA in Creative Painting at Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. Their educational background has laid a solid foundation for their artistic endeavours. Their artistic journey, marked by several notable exhibitions and projects, showcases their commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. One of their stand-out projects is a site-specific installation showcased in the 2nd edition of Ikattha by TEAM PO10TIAL in 2023, engaging viewers in a dialogue about space and context. In 2022, they were selected for the MASH Young Artist Exhibition at the India International Centre, Delhi, a prestigious platform for emerging artists. "Monsoon Art Exhibition" at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, and their contributions to the "Baadii Art Residency and Exhibition" in Himachal Pradesh, reflect their diverse artistic explorations and underscore their ongoing engagement with significant art events in India. Through these exhibitions and projects, Roshan and Rohan continue to explore and express complex themes, weaving a mythical, fictional world intertwined with nature, drama, fantasy, socio-political and environmental reflections.
