Nabibakhsh Mansoori

Idar, Gujarat

Nabibakhsh Mansoori was born in 1966 in Idar, Gujarat. In 1990 he completed his Diploma in Fine Arts, from Ahmedabad and Post Diploma in Fine Arts from M. S. University of Baroda in 1992. He is one of the distinguished recipients of the Bendre-Husain Scholarship of Bombay Art Society. Nabibakhsh Mansoori’s paintings are exuberant, and at times surreal. He looks at the world through the kaleidoscope of color, skewed and layered imagery and loves to throw the viewer off balance and make them take a second look at the work drawing them into his world. In his desire to recreate the bright colors seen through the prism, Nabibaksh glides between the use of oils and acrylics as his medium. Dramatic use of light, unconventional perspective and bold crisp colours is a hallmark of his paintings. He has participated in many solo and group shows within India and abroad.
