Masoom Kshetrimayum

Masoom Kshetrimayum was born (1985) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She completed her Post Diploma in Visual Arts (Painting), Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Vadodara (2016) and Diploma in Visual Arts (Drawing & Painting) from Sheth C.N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad (2009). Masoom’s imagery focuses on visual metaphor and illusion of visible reality.She looks at the relationship between dissimilar existences of her visual reference which comes from her subconscious mind. Intentionally, she omits the unnecessary details and draw it with repetitive shapes and lines. It is an act of tearing apart objects into emotional states and aesthetic consciousness. Through it, she develops a new blurred hybrid visual, which expands through the different stages of curiosity, reality and desire. The artist uses paper, canvas and multi-layered acrylic sheets as surface. She uses foil with acrylic color, foil with pencil color, intaglio and dry point on transparent acrylic sheets as preferred medium. The artist lives and works in Delhi.
