About the artist
Born in 1977, New Delhi. Sahini’s work is deeply rooted in his memories. The stories depicted in his paintings are webbed in the fluorescent greens, pinks and yellows. His works are mostly design driven and dominated by elements of geometrical patterns. Using bold and bright colours with the occasional hint of a figure or an object his works are primarily abstract. He attempts to create a space where the treatment is contemporary but the subject is very Indian, therefore enhancing the visual delights in his works. As a viewer gets a closer look of the painting, the images dissipate to reveal a riot of colours and forms.
