About the artist
Ranjeeta Kant holds a Masters degree in Anthropology. She had her formal art training at the Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi under the guidance of eminent artist Rameshwar Broota. Having worked extensively in the field of designing in Delhi and Kerala, Ranjeeta started exhibiting her artworks since 2000.
Using acrylic and oil as a medium, her works assimilate and revolve around the theme of human interaction with nature. Her figurative, as well as her abstract art, echo the powerful force of flora-fauna along with the feminine. Her body of work is about human interaction with nature and its five elements. She has recently exhibited her small format abstract works in mixed media, which she experimented with during the lockdown, a genre that has gained great appreciation with art collectors.
Having had several solo and group shows in India and abroad, her works are part of several important collections. Ranjeeta Kant has also participated in a number of art camps and residencies within and outside the country.
